My Cat Sleep Diary
Record when your cat chooses to rest, what happened around that time and whether anything was different from normal. This is a journal, not a diagnosis.

What makes a useful observation?
Describe what you can actually see. “Rested on the floor instead of the couch” is more useful than “felt depressed.” Record meals, movement or litter changes when relevant without guessing the cause.
Seek veterinary advice for sudden behavioral changes; urgent problems such as labored breathing, collapse, or repeated unsuccessful attempts to urinate require immediate professional care.
Three helpful prompts
Before: What happened just before your cat rested?
During: Where did it lie, and what was the surrounding environment like?
After: Did it rise normally and return to typical activity?
